Losing My Religion

REMINDER

This area is for anyone who wants to discuss religion. This forum is
not for debating religion, preaching to others or
talking down to others based on their religious beliefs.

People are entitled to their opinions.
That doesn't make their opinion *the truth*

Hello and welcome to the Religion Forum

Simon, what I hear you saying is that you have lost your connection to the divine. I do understand, as I have been through that many times.

I have found several ways to make myself open to the divine in my life. One is to find a spiritual practice and practice it daily. It doesn’t matter which religion or service or something else entirely. Just something I do every day.

Another spiritual practice is to help someone else. In whatever way I can. Pay it forward. Lend a hand. Comfort someone. There are myriads of things I can do. Every day.

Finally, one of the most important, for me, is gratitude. Every day. Being grateful for all or for little. Grateful for the air I breathe, which is fresh. A practice of gratitude I have found brings me closer to the divine.

Today, I am grateful to meet you, and to read the other posts here and connect through whatever ways open.
