As I was reading some posts this morning, one struck a chord (thanks @Bella Pines ). It made me think of the book, “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.” It’s not so much understanding the difference between the sexes, but rather how the sexes react to being on the spectrum, function as one with an ASD, etc.
For instance, men tend to keep things bottled up. Would an Aspie male be more inclined to share his ASD with others while tossing back a cold Bud? Would an Aspie female openly share her diagnosis (or suspicions) with her hairdresser or manicurist?
What are some thoughts on this?
