*Little* Things That Annoy You (Pet Peeves)

not Yet able to replicate that ‘new car smell’ with any of the valeting products I’ve used to date.

That “new car smell” is the offgassing of carcinogenic chemicals from the plastics used in the car! It’s cancer causing. I cannot stand that smell. I also ready endured cancer when I was 40 years old. I do not understand why people like that horrible smell.

Super annoyed at all things cell phones and computers. I want to run away and join the Amish, or Mennonites. Or jump into an old rerun of Andy Griffith and never come out of Mayberry circa 1960.

The neighbour's dog that barks non-stop and annoys all the neighbours, not just me, but they do nothing about it.
People using some strange, obscure acronym and expecting everyone to automatically know what they are talking about.

Special effects in documentaries and movies/videos. Flashes, flickering, horrible grating, scraping or hissing noises. So many documentaries totally ruined by these.

I HATE the irritating music used in many YouTube videos and on commercials. Especially that childish goofy cartoon music so currently in fashion nowadays. I always mute when possible.

When people mix 2 different types of pasta together. My dad used to do this when I was growing up. I'd have to then separate them into different containers if that happened.

Crane flies.

Flying at top speed straight into hot light fittings or walls?
When I was a kid and still lived with my parents my Mum hated crane flies (AKA. Daddy Longlegs in the UK) to the extent that she was frightened of them and in the early Autumn time we sometimes had literally thousands of them flying low over the grass in the garden outside the back conservatory. Sometimes some would come in through doors or windows and a couple of times one appeared in my Mum and Dad's bedroom which created a huge disturbance with my Mum screaming, shouting at my Dad to get rid of it quick and then he'd be chasing it trying to catch it while she stood cringing outside. Well I have a dastardly confession to make, one evening I sneaked outside the back and collected around 10 to let them loose in their bedroom, you should have heard the commotion when she went to bed that night and I was there sniggering quietly in my room lol!

I’m in UK too.
I also call them daddy-long-legs.
Before posting I checked if there were any other names they go by (so more than me had a picture in their mind of what I meant)

According to the www, daddy-long-legs is a spider.

Learn something new every day :)

Threads with 20 pages that make me feel like I have to read the pages and react to someone otherwhise posting feels selfish.

Like you I hate the new commercials and some new videos , but what I dislike is when the commercial video uses big texts with colors like buzzfeed videos it feels like they are trying to brainwash you with their narrative its irritating.

-When people turn the glasses upside down in order to dry it because it create a smell that I hate and find hard to get away with.
-Prob many other things that I cant remember now , and not being able to respond to something while I know I have something to say also irritates me

Whenever someone on Facebook on autism "friendly" pages say their autistic child actually did something very non-autistic, like speak when they're not normally very verbal, or go to a social gathering and enjoy it, or eat something different, it just really annoys me to no end. I'm not really sure why, but I think that to me it's like inspiration porn. Of course everyone else is simply delighted when they read this, while I look like a huge jerk. Also when I was a kid I could speak, eat different foods and go to social gatherings, and no one cared! But that was all right, because the whole world still had unrealistically high expectations for me.
