Found a shop that sells local delicacies and homemade dishes, chatted with the owner a bit.

I wish i could buy more stuff from there but since i am on a diet i can't.
 
Thanking a man that thinks about veterans very well, was at a gas station. I went in to get something for breakfast quick and said he would pay for mine too, did. Said he knew that freedom is not free and veterans deserve respect which they do not at times
 
Made a repo company's day good. We got one towed in this morning, owner was arrested for a DUI. The repo guy said they were looking for it and I told him to take it. Did check the vin too
 
I had a note from HOA saying fix this or be fed to the alligators (lost in FL courts forever). I actually dialed an electrical person who retrofitted my brain and my aging lamppost that apparently wasn't meeting standards. Also, the intro of Dark Shadows TV will stop playing over and over , that song just implies rough seas ahead, get ready. Reminds me l almost broke my neck at a Hawaii beach. So thankful to the electrician that didn't demean me for asking for a cognitive tradesman who wasn't trying to rip me off, ( Florida). Seriously, Florida needs it's own "Move here at your own Risk" booklet.

No jokes, we had a little storm rip through last night and kindly give us about 30cm's of snow. Took the better part of 2 hours to get the the cars shoveled out and the walk to drive way and other entrances to and from the house. But I'd been piling it all in one spot and given the size, I would genuinely think it was likely at least an actual metric ton if not more. Slow and steady on stuff like that folks. Same with all big things in life.

Snow all gone here nice and warm above 0 Celcius for every day now, hopefully.
 
Worked in the garden a bit. Noticed that some of the plants killed to the ground are sprouting up from the roots. Even one of the avocado trees has some green shoots growing from the trunk. All the other trees including mature bearing mangos are still looking quite dead.
 
Broke down and bought a number of over-the-counter medical supplies I had run out of.

My Medicare provider is supposed to provide me with an OTC product debit card, but in nearly three months they have yet to explain why it never reached me in the mail. Being told to simply be patient.

I'm beginning to wonder how much time has to go by before this might reflect bad faith if they are withholding that card deliberately, effectively violating the insurance contract.:mad:
 
Searched for diesel fuel.
My usual service station was out of stock.
Thankfully, I found another one up the road that had some.

I did have to mortgage the house to buy 5 litres, however.

HOAs are the spawn of the devil. They operate under the guise of "preserving property values" by imposing their ideas of what constitutes curb appeal in your community.
