In the U.S., when the curbs are painted in colors they mean certain things. It says these colors are in Los Angeles, CA. But they existed when I lived in Texas, in Oklahoma, and in Kentucky. I thought that these colors were U.S.-wide but evidently not if only yellow exists in New York.
We only have the two - no parking and seriously no parking.
When I showed it to my brother Kenny, he immediately said, "Oh, a firepit."
We don't have all of that in New York - just yellow to indicate "no parking".
Bees sleep? How long is the sleep cycle of bees? Seconds? Minutes?
Honey bees sleep an average of 5-8 hours.

Is anyone else familiar with the concept of placing a horizontal line above a letter to indicate that it's an abbreviation? Is it perhaps customary where @Rodafina lives?
I was wondering about that, too. It is not customary here.
