Why are Instagram full of bigots and twitter sjws?

Did Facebook, TikTok and Twitter users migrated to Instagram or is it some dead internet theory?

This is one of the examples:

This is a funny caricature art and someone got offended on behalf of Asians, Asian ppl find the video funny. Heck even the artist in the video is Asian too. I don’t think it was the artist intention to make him yellow, probably don’t have the matching colour.

This is the video:

Oh yea I forgot to mention that these hateful/negative comments are pushed to the top and have more likes. Even I seen some replies agreeing with these type of comments

Social media exists because people are mostly A-Holes. I challenge any one of those idiots to use that language face to face with the people they’re talking about. They wouldn’t because getting punched in the nose hurts.

Moments after social media was invented, it became a way for the most ignorant, hateful, and immature members of our race to have an unlimited worldwide platform to dribble nonsense out of their empty heads.

I have never had any social media accounts, and never has my wife or son. People talk about it like it’s as necessary as breathing, but there’s soooo much hatred mixed in with the good stuff that I don’t think it’s worth it.

X is just as bad.

These platforms are really primarily for attention seekers to try to feel good about themselves, even if it means bringing others down.

You got that right.

I dont exactly deal with social media very often... typically only finding myself in such a place if I'm in need of something like a tech answer (Reddit, usually led there by Google), but on the occasion I do find myself venturing into the swamps (always without an account, I dont have any either), I do so with the constant feeling that I should, in fact, be wearing a hazmat suit.

I suspect the suit wouldnt last very long.

There's little point in commenting anyway.

I mean, what effect is it going to have? People on those sites, they see comments, read and/or scream at them, and then I guarantee you, 2 hours later they've forgotten about them (if it takes even that long). Social media isnt meant for long-form conversations and such after all. It's meant for quick clicks and then move onto the next loud thing, forget about the previous.

In the moment, when you're typing, it can feel impactful, but really, you engaging with the comments only really can lead to either wasting your own time, getting you agitated, or both at once.

The only other thing it does is further boost that particular comments section to whatever algorithm is in charge. So, if it's a toxic section, posting just feeds it and makes it bigger. Dont do that.

Just disengage, seriously.

Be super careful what you do online. I would even recommend setting everything to private, if possible. I don't think you ought to allow strangers to be on your Facebook or X contacts anyway. You really don't know people online from Adam, as they say.

This weirdo has been targeting me online for like, 7 years now. But I have known the guy online since 2004, as I know him from old gaming sites that I was a member of a few decades ago. The users as I recall were never the full shilling anyway. My following revelations will help to explain why nutters like him are dangerous and delusional.

He was on Fandom editing wiki articles that I contributed to, right after I edited them. This was his way of tagging me. You need to edit the page first. You cannot subscribe to the page without doing that first. He used more profiles and proxies than I care to remember, then closed them down. But he was reported in vain. I eventually just stopped using the wikis as nobody intervened unless I emailed the main desk.

I would like to get him arrested or sued for his harassment of me, but his local police force in Western Australia don't do anything.

He bothered me that much, I went to these crappy legal support forums to get advice on how to get him dealt with. But for some dumb reason, there are no moderators. Guests are able to anonymously reply on these dead forums without logging in. So for the past few years, he has just been spamming utter nonsense in the SAME threads I am the OP in, which usually never gets deleted. I'm not even convinced the admin could care less.

Subscribes to me on YouTube too to monitor me and impersonates a guy who used to watch my videos. Just does this on a weekly basis on one site or another. Or he floods this anxiety forum with multiple identities, making countless spam posts or threads, one alias of which he uses to post "normal" in a few threads, now absolutely choc-a-bloc with insults, sarcastic jabs, and links to other forums, and whatnot.

Pretty obsessive cretin, really, yet not too bright. Even after I figured out who he is from clues he stupidly gave out, he has persisted in stalking me, and I think he had been sending messages to film producers I met. So just be wary of what you share online.

This is exactly the issue. A lot of people really are genuinely nasty and spiteful but they learn to keep their mouths shut in public very quickly because if they don't they get hurt.

Social media gives them a wall of quassi-anonimity to hide behind.

You will never find normal social relationships in social media services. Do yourself a favour, go to the local pub to socialise and leave the phone at home when you go out.

Bruh Twitter are well known for cancel culture crap. They cancel people for stupid reasons.

Okay I did some research, turns out Meta did the same thing to Facebook back in 2015, Facebook was (still is doing it) known for enabling genocide and hate speech. Heck, there was ISIS ads running around for years and didn’t get removed. Meta is doing the same thing with Instagram. Wanna hear something funny? On the App Store on IPhone, the Facebook app used to have 1.2 star reviews but now it’s 4.2 star reviews cuz Meta removed a lot of 1 star reviews.

Mark Zuckerberg and Adam Mosseri need to go.

I want to abandon this crummy app but I have to use it for my university clubs and my friends on it.

Are you 100% sure about that?

I've heard people say this one before in a lot of situations... in particular I've heard family members say this one. But... turned out that they'd simply gotten so attached that other options, such as texting, phone calls, emails, and others, had simply stopped occurring to them (and they hadnt actually realized this until it was pointed out to them). Even just meeting in person with those who were very close by.

Granted, I could see a situation where it's like, some employer or teacher or whoever being like "you guys all use this... or else", and in that case, it's probably unavoidable. But what IS avoidable, ALWAYS, is the other stuff. Hateful posts & comments, there's no reason to engage with those. When you see them, hit report, and simply move on. Dont jump in and argue, dont try to play the part of the shining knight, dont do any of that. Report. Move on. And then finish your necessary business quickly and simply close the app. Dont click on anything else, dont scroll, dont browse, just freaking close it. You are in control of your experience here. The people behind these apps want the app to be in control, and for most people, it absolutely is. Dont give in to that.

This reminds me of a quote that I'm probably going to butcher because my memory isnt very good, it went something like this: "People online have gotten way too used to being able to say whatever they want without getting punched in the face for it".

I *think* that one is from Mike Tyson. I think. I could be wrong.

I have several friends and family members who use apps like WhattsApp and X as if I’ll never be able to communicate with them in any other way. Although they all are using a TELEPHONE to post on these sites.

I wonder how I’ll ever talk to any of them again….

I don’t mind WhatsApp, I use it to text my friends and family members. I do have a twitter account but I barely use it, it feels like majority of twitter users are bots…
