Hello, I'm MEDL86. I actually came from a different forum of the same type as this one, but I wanted to give this one a try.
I left the previous forum (that will remain unnamed, as I think that would violate the rules on some small level), because of growing hostility and a number of incidents over the past year, especially bad this year. I found my responses and posts being attacked regularly by individuals with absolutely no respect whatsoever, and while there were many on that site I didn't have issues with, there were at least 3 times as many (that I interacted with, mind you, not overall) that would start arguments with me, insult me, or otherwise demean me, all on the basis of the fact that I had an opinion that they did not agree with. I finally got tired of it. The site in question was always fairly poorly managed, the owner was gone almost all of the time (and had little idea what was going on, on his own site), and bad attitudes went unchecked while those who responded to said bad attitudes were often reprimanded for defending themselves (that was one of the first issues I had there).
So, long story; short (I know, too late), here I am. I hope I can find the community here that I haven't been able to find elsewhere.
