I was on another forum before this one, in fact I still go on that forum from time to time. Everytime I go on there I get attacked simply for making comments that aren't ill intended at all. People on here are very mature and I can relax and know, no one is going to attack me. I've made threads on this forum, that I've also made on the other forum and on the other forum I've gotten attacked for them. Here everyone has been nice and mature and I really appreciate that. So, this is simply my way of saying thank you to the mods of this forum and the members. I am glad I found a forum, where everyone gets along and I don't have to worry about getting into arguments with anyone.
 
Agreed! I like how people on AC seem to qualify their points of view, and actually work to reduce misunderstandings much of the time. And people here seem quite willing to apologize if we have accidentally offended someone.

Not to incite a Aspie/NT culture-comparison thing (I like the relativistic view, and not all online commenters are douchebags), but when I think of how many comment threads and forums "out there" descend into flame wars, ad hominem attacks, and straw man fallacies, it reminds me why I like coming here!
 
I remember being on a forum site for adult dating and I couldn't believe how immature people acted there. :/

I even told people there that it was creepy and wrong for adults to act like children, which got me banned and an accusation of being a troll ...

Personally, I wouldn't go there if your an adult and single because you might be dating some under aged kid the way they were all acting on that forum site. In fact, I think a majority of them were kids :|

This site is very great for people with Autism and you can always expect intelligent discussions like no other place :D
 
I had a similar experience on another site I use to use. In 1.5 years I wrote 1000+ posts. The webmaster wanted to keep my posts but I said no. Anyhow. Thanks to all those treat me well.

Yea I was on a well known aspergers site, most of you know it but I won't say because I don't know if it's against the rules to trash talk other sites. There is so much bullying and sexual hypocrisy on there.

I am so glad I ended up here in my desperate attempt to find some shopping tips. You guys are amazing, and I've learned so much during those last couple of days I only wish I would have found it earlier.
