I decided to start a new thread about things that happen to make you say, "I just can't believe it!"

Me first.

I Just Can't Believe It! A couple days ago I paid over $6 for 1 lb. of 93/7 hamburger!!!!
(Just about a month ago the same hamburger was $4 for 1 lb.)

I'm sure not going to waste it on Hamburger Helper!

Scary thing indeed. I pay $3.15 for 80/20 and you should see how I have to strain the grease with each quarter pound portion. One pound a month...that's all I budget for. But then I can't eat much red meat anyways....prone to gout. And then reflux. What I've give to eat steak! I hate getting old. Slowly falling apart.

That's funny! I remember seeing on I think TLC about people who do almost anything to save a dollar and this one actually picked up roadkill and ate it for dinner. Had it a couple times a week. This person was in the same category as another person who actually dried and reused all their dental floss though, too. I can get floss for less than a buck. Ewwww.

My wife was explaining that when the economy went bad the castle ranchers cut back on their herds. Now that the economy is supposedly picking back up again the demand is up and supply is still down. She says prices will probably go higher until the ranchers can increase their livestock.
 
I Can't Believe It! I used to really like reality shows like the "Housewives" of whatever county. Then I was sitting there one day and figured out that I was wasting my own life watching these other bimbos live their life. I stopped watching that very day. That's time I'm never going to get back!
 
What's todays date? Is it still winter?

I Can't Believe it!!! I just turned on the air conditioner because it's hotter than Haiti's in here! Tomorrow it's supposed to snow! WTH!!!
(Omg. I'm living on an island with myself - the air conditioners on and the Christmas tree is still up. There's something wrong with this picture.)
 
I Can't Believe It!!!!! My neighbor (the Biatch) went nuts yesterday with the police showing up and what not, drunk 24/7, smoking like a chimney and then last night one of her "boyfriends" came over and stayed then when I came home this morning a second "boyfriend" had stayed all night! What is up with that?! Guys always think that girls want a bad boy, but I think it goes both ways. The Biatch is proof of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking of putting a red light bulb up right outside her front door!!! Take that Biatch!

I just saw Frozen with my friends and their kids. I can't believe that some people are freaking out that it is gay propaganda. I have one thing to say to the person who pointed out in an article that at the end the giant snow monster put on a queen's crown and said it promoted cross dressing, "How do you know the snow monster was male?" It didn't have any recognizable parts that would confirm gender and while it had a deep voice I don't think it is right to assume that magically animated snow creatures necessarily follow the same vocal patterns as humans. Maybe female snow monsters have deep voices.

I went to the organic store today and left the limes behind after seeing they were $7.50 a pound!!!!!! WTH!
 
I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!

Things are really weird at work. The hospital is requiring us to show proof that we graduated nursing school! Our nursing license is not enough now. I had to actually find my degree and make a photocopy of it. The degree has to have the word "Science" in it - such as "Associate of Applied Science". If you don't have your actual degree, then you have to have your school transcript proving that you graduated. They say this information is needed just to perform certain labs on patients. They will also accept a high school diploma if the person has also successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a medical lab specialist. Has to do with CAP surveyors which I don't even know who that is.

Anyone have any idea of why this would be required now? Has anyone else had strange things needed at your place of employment?

I just know that I'm going to have to complete that Bachelors degree come hell or high water before they decide that the Associate degree is not good enough and phase that out too. This kind of thing makes me grumpy as hell!

I found on the QVC website that my Mr. Blender went on clearance. So I emailed QVC and said that I would like the clearance price since it was still within the 30 day return policy time period or I would have to return the blender. They gave me the clearance price and I saved $50!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!!

Hmmm. It sounds like this based on a conclusion of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). That their proficiency surveys may be detecting a number of unwanted professional liability exposures. Which may reflect anything from a correlation of under-educated staff and malpractice claims to fraudulent impersonation and identity theft.

Just guessing Angie. Maybe you could find out more directly through CAP's website.

I knew I was doing a boo boo!
I shouldn't have went out to the store with my hair wet! My friend Julia said she has never done that (except when she was a teen) and my Mama was shocked! She was so speechless I thought she'd passed out (or worse) when I told her over the phone. Geez! You'd think I'd committed a mortal sin. I'll be lucky if she doesn't disown me! Oh crap, I just remembered that I ran into neighbors too! I'll be lucky if I'm not the talk of the next HOA meeting. :oops:
I know some of the nurses come to work with their hair wet and I think it's very unprofessional. I definitely won't be doing it again. :(
Come to think of it, even the lady that checks me out all the time looked at me strange cause I'm usually so "put together". Oh my. (Heavy sigh)
