How to test people and find like-minded individuals?

...one should not discuss money,...
What aspect of money is controversial.
I find that many people like my ideas for budgeting & bookkeeping. Even if they disagree, they don't seem particularly offended by such advice.

The only controversial "money" topics that I can think of are opinions on: economics, classes, taxes & such.

As a Christian you have a social advantage. Church, Bible studies, church events, missions, and more are all opportunities to meet like-minded folks, like-minded in that they love Christ just as much as you do. And that's what matters most, right?
I’m looking into joining my parish council, I’ll be talking to my parish priest about it tonight.
