How do things like with caffine affect aspies.

I wouldn't expect caffeine to have the same effect on Autistic's across the board.

Current theories lean toward Autism coming from a structural difference in neural pathways. It's not how well the neurons work or don't work - it's how the neurons are arranged.

Caffeine may affect how individual cells perform, how tired one feels, etc., but a chemical can't change the structure of the brain.

Without caffeine, I'm autistic. With caffeine, I'm autistic faster.

I take ritalin so I limit my caffeine intake to one cup of coffee a day lest I get tremors. The rest of the time I drink non caffeine herbal iced tea.

I’m very sensitive to caffeine, having more than one cup of coffee makes me sweaty, shaky, jittery and nauseous.

Judge had a good answer.

I have autism with extreme sensitivities. I am not bothered by caffeine at all. When I was in high school / college I would use coffee to stay up later to do work , and I did become jittery, but I am pretty sure that was from not getting enough sleep or staying up late ( like 4 am to finish a paper because I decided to start it at 10 pm that day .)
