Great to have you here, @Amethystgirl

Finding connections is alway difficult, but well all are understanding here and are happy to help. And don't be afraid to ask questions if you need help.

What kind of hobbies do any of you? I like swimming, watching anime, listening to Nickelback, I like reading and watching new episodes of the new Star Trek and Star Wars shows and reading lgbt and msyerty teen fiction even though I'm 39.

Hello, i am also in my 30s and like watching anime and asian tv shows, reading comics and the like. Nice to meet another like minded person!

@Amethystgirl - You guys are having a really bad time with the forest fires. US news reports on them every day. I hope none of them are near you or affecting your air quality.

Kayla in 40s still not so many friends, seems like I lack maintenance
Welcome to the nut house, hope you feel at home

Hello and welcome. Glad you found us. Let us know if you need any help finding your way around the forum.

Welcome. Not Canadian myself though my mom was and there is family in Quebec.

That said, I have had difficulty making friends and seemed to get involved with users. Then I got involved with interest/activity groups that were cooperative rather than competitive and where neurology mattered less than participation. Some friends I have had for 38 years from Sierra Club outings in particular.

Welcome! Have you looked to see if there are any AS or ND groups in your area? A number of larger cities have one, sometimes more.

Special interest groups can sometimes also be a way to build connections that might turn to friendships.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Making friends can be very hard in my opinion Especially offline. All of my friends are online. I hope you can make some online friends here. There's a lot of friendly people here.
