Hi from the UK...female in my 30's recently diagnosed with both ASD and ADHD!

Hi as the title says I've recently been diagnosed with both conditions. My 8 year old son is autistic (non verbal) so I already knew a lot about that and had self diagnosed years ago but the adhd alongside it is difficult as they contradict eachother a lot.
There isn't a lot of information online about the conditions together, especially in adults, so I would love to hear from anyone else in the same position.

Would love to chat to some people like myself for once

Welcome here! We are from the US, but our 10 yr. old son is still mostly nonverbal and Autistic, having ADHD too. My wife has ADHD and I very mild Autism likely. Our oldest 12 year old has Autism but is doing really well. We hope you will like it here and get the support and direction you need!

I'm in the UK and have been diagnosed with ADHD and I'm awaiting an autism assessment, although I'm certain it'll be a positive diagnosis whenever it is I get it on he NHS. I went private with the ADHD diagnosis. I might end up doing the same for the other assessment too.

There's a lot of overlap with the 2 conditions. Worth reading books, web articles and forums.

Welcome! I've personally been diagnosed with both ADHD and ASD, but I don't really identify with ADHD as much because my symptoms of ASD kind of trample the others.

I've heard that it's fairly common to have both, though.
