well, I have been diagnosed with aspergers for 6 years now and the advice I have for you is: just be yourself. you don't need to care about what haters think. In the end of the day, your life is yours and their life is theirs. Also, don't think of aspergers as a disorder and try to take advantage of your strengths
 
Welcome Rwby! I was diagnosed a year ago and am 26. I found that I was in shock and even a bit of denial when I first got the diagnosis. However, I eventually felt relief and understanding. The diagnosis is not a curse or a life sentence. However, it is a name for what you have had your entire life. You are still the exact same person you have always been and will always be... Now you just have a name for your differences... I deeply encourage you to become involved here as the online community was invaluable when I first received my diagnosis and I don't know how I would have been, without them.
