Hello y'all,

I have been eagerly reading forums for days now and it somehow felt wrong not to announce my presence. Now you can know to whom all sweet (sometimes rather sad) post are exposed to.

Well to me! If you need a name it is Lily as my username suggests. Some people have maybe felt confused because of the water, but no worries my friend, I only did it because all the other usernames were taken. I actually enjoy dry things, such as dry crackers and dry wine, even a bit of dry humour which my social acquaintances aren't too happy about.

"What makes me different?" I can hear you think (or not. You can of course not be interested in me and in that case I am wondering why you are still reading, but be my guest). Well, I may have a light form of autism which makes it difficult for me to understand certain irrational teenage behaviour (I can also not escape it, seen the fact that I am 20 years old and surrounded by adolescences). I also love routine and stability.

Until now I have enjoyed all the support and open mindedness I have seen passing by. I already feel like home (well I am currently home, but I am talking about a mental state here)

But if you are really that sweet, you're ok in my book. I'll just have to watch to see if its only part of a more complicated personality horizon and you don't snap out on someone. (Horizon is my current favorite word to misuse).

All tongue in cheek of course. ;) Gotta say something on a intro-welcome post.

Have you done any research of autism symptoms online and/or taken any free online self tests?
 
Welcome lily! Im new too. Im almost 30 and still hang around with teens. In fact i am pained to say that i actually have feelings for an 18 year old but it will never happen. Its unnatural. I hate myself some times and wish i was an NT.

Hey :P

I had to read that 20 times before I could get my brain to move on and realize... No no.. she can not hear you think. I was for sure thinking you were saying you could hear people think. I'm glad I figured that out though.
