Help Us Donate To An Autism Charity

Brent

Administrator
Hi everyone,

We want to give a donation to a charity and we want the community to pick the charity. In this thread, please list charities that you would like to see donated to. We will let the thread run for a few days to make sure we get a few choices and then put it up to a vote. The one with the most votes will get our donation.

How much are we donating? You guys will help decide that to! More on that later :)

Hmm...I came up with a few, but many of them are only US-based. Suggestions forthcoming!

I'll second the vote for ASAN. They seem to be doing good work so far, and definitely a welcome counterbalance to Autism Speaks.

Are we counting likes equal to comments? (I liked wyverary's comment.) I like ASAN too. Their mission seems to align nicely with how this site's ethos: the focus on self-advocacy bolsters individual determinism as well as acknowledging that the individual can't do it all by themselves and is still different, but not less.
