Good evening everyone,

I am not autistic myself, but have an eight year old son who has a diagnosis of autism and global development delay.

He is nonverbal and incontinent, only being able to cope in life with medication to control his behaviour.

Hi and welcome to the forums. Hopefully some of our stories can give you a few insights that might be helpful.

Hello and welcome, @SteveF. There are other parents here who have posted threads on some similar issues. Please let us know if you need any help navigating the site. I hope we can help support you.

Howdy!

I think you will find useful information here.

Best wishes to your son and you.

Welcome! Before I retired I was coordinating services for children (and adults) like your child. You'll find some other parents on here as well. If you hang out, you will find out what we are like, which is we all are different.
