Hi Everyone,

I have joined this forum because I am not sure if I am autistic or not, hopefully someone can help me.

When I was younger, I remember playing in the back garden with friends but would always come in after 15 mins or so. My friends would then ask my parents if I was coming out again but I just preferred to be in house watching TV or something.

I am now 40 and do go out and socialise to meet new people and the hope of finding a partner.
I regularly go on organised walks and talk to people but just find I get bored listening to people if it isn't about a subject that I am interested in. From the moment I get bored, I am thinking in my head, "just go away"

I also find that I ask questions about about what people have talked to me about like their job etc but people never ask me more questions on the things I have told them about myself.

I just feel that I will never meet the perfect friend or partner.

I hope someone can help.
