Hey, i am Mathalamus, a new member with Aspergers. i do not really know what to say about myself, except that i am an imperfect human being with good and bad aspects, and that they both create my personality. my Aspergers are a major part of me, but im having difficulties where to draw the line between Aspergers and my own personality. its quite blurred.

i am a male, of 25, of Canada, and i am, to make it simple, deeply in tune with myself. i have my own opinions, my own morals, my own philosophy, and especially my own forms of control. i believe that i am truly unique. its not always a good thing.

i have significant negative qualities. i keep some of them because it is useful, others i wanna get rid of, but i have no real idea what replacements, if any, there are. my bad qualities outweigh my good by a margin, and i do not consider myself a good person.

i should note that i am somewhat shy and defensive, and very insecure about my position here. i did just register.

i joined this community, because, well, i was lonely. i had little human contact outside of two (online) friends, and family, whom i barely interact with. i wanted to meet new people.

in the low chance that i am recognized from elsewhere, well, hello. i hope you do not think badly of me.

i hope that this community is friendly, and not reactionary, indifferent, or just plain hostile to me.
 
Welcome!!! You've come to a great place, as we're from all points on the spectrum; there are even a few NT's here. In our happy little community here we're all unique, which is probably why we get along so well. So, please feel free to browse around, meet the gang, and make some new friends along the way.
 
Welcome. I am in a similar position to you. The only people who understand me are some family members, and some friends from school all of whom live c.200 miles away. And yes NT=neurotypical
 
Welcome to Central Mathalamus, hope you enjoy the time you spend here. I'm glad I found this site when I did because like you, I am quite isolating & there are few people in my life. I never expected to find this community but checking in a couple times a day (or more) has become a part of my day now & I feel the better for it. There are some fantastic & interesting & wise people here. :)

Welcome aboard, similar here, I have my very own philosophy and sometime defensive too.
But that's not a disadvantage, being a type 5-thinker, I think being defensive is necessary and understandable because this small blue planet is dangerous.
