Hatred of "messy" social media sites - ADHD or ASD?

I find I avoid facebook and Linkedin because their UIs are so horribly cluttered I can't stand being on there for long.

I like Tumblr because it's so clean and simple, and twitter is just a waste of time personally (useful for business though).

I tried joining a load of FB ADHD and ASD groups, but just hate being there.

Is anyone else like this, and if so are you ADHD, ASD or both?

I'm ADHD combined BTW.

I find myself holding the same opinions about the same sites. I never figured out twitter - luckily I haven't had to so I've never bothered.

ADHD inattentive and ASD

I highly suspect that I’ve got ADHD. I used to use Facebook a lot, but in February of this year I erased the App from my phone, and now I only check it once a month or so.
I am so used to the simplicity of AC that now FB seems overwhelming.
I don’t hate it though.

BTW - Black then white? (Not like Michael Jackson but in terms of opinion, BTW , a mugwump, a Mavis Reilly..)

Yeh, facebook is awful. A complete mess. Hard to folllow.

I thought it would be nice to find people but, once found, they can see what I post. I don't want them to know what im doing.
I certainly don't want to know what they're doing.

.

I find that I have no problem with the Facebook app, but the web version on a pc is horrendous. There's just too much going on all at once.

I guess I am used to Facebook and so no, I do not feel that way, but I cannot cope with twitter. I do have an account, but find it so messy, as you say, that I sigh with relief when I am out of there.

I only use facebook and aspie central and Yahoo Answers.

Of course! you just made me realise the work-around. I'm ok with the mobile one too.

So just use this on the PC - Facebook - Log In or Sign Up

Website's detect the browser type and then serve the relevant website, but you can force it to use one or the other.

The last two sentences are absolute perfection and the two reasons why I don't use farcebook, twatter, instasham or any other narcissistic social media platforms.

I use FB only when I have to, in order to find information and I hate the in-your-face popups and endless requests for more information. I do not and never will have a Twitter account. It seems like a place for idiots to announce their status to people who really don't care anyway.

Never understood FB. Having looked at it for work I agree the format is terrible. Too busy and layout is messy. Linked in is also terrible. Refuse to use.
Twitter is marginally better and
Instagram slightly better still ...
Although the constant refreshing of feeds is irritating and not being able to go back to where you were or search through feeds easily is bothersome.

Social media in general is massively overrated IMO.

The only reason I've closed my Facebook account at least twice but always gone back eventually is because I chat to a few friends I've known for years and family members.

I have Twitter but I never use it. too many idiots on there who can't spell and have the intelligence of a mentally handicapped 4 year old, because most of them can't construct a sentence without F words.
