Good portrayals of Asperger's?

I caught a few minutes of that Parenthood episode last night. Not much to be that offended about, but it still looked more like it was depicting what I would call "tv Asperger's" rather than real Asperger's. I thought that it was kind of funny that the bug guy with AS was played by the same actor as Ben Linus from Lost.

I would agree that it was very "tv Asperger's", and not what I had hoped it would be...that said, I do like the show.
 
I liked the film with signourney weaver, as the character she played had many negative traits. I like to see movies with portrayals like this, because I think people with asperger's but minor problems tend to try and disown people with more severe problems.

I don't want to see well adapted asperger characters in movies, since I don't relate to them. I don't want the world thinking "Oh well, they can achieve all this!" I want the world to see how much help we need.
 
If anyone's seen Saved By The Bell, can't say that he is but Screech seems to fit the profile of someone with AS/H.F.A dead on. You'll see what I mean :)
 
Abed from community is known on the show as having asperger's it is mentioned a few times and depicted quite clearly on the show, he also shows some autistic traits though. As for Karl Pilkinton i really think he is on the spectrum: he cant see things from another point of view, likes to be alone, doesn't show much emotion, doesn't empathise and takes everything literally. It would be really cool to hear if anyone has seen him and their opinions.
 
Max in Mary and Max is good. This is one of the most tender portrayals of Aspergers, and one of the most touching portrayals of the pain that sometimes accompanies AS(a pain unacknowledged by other movies) I think its worth comes from the fact that the creator of the movie, while not himself an Aspie, based the movie on his own relationship with a pen-pal.
