Dream, Believe and Achieve

Well, for me any of my achievements have also been of detriment.

However, at the age of 45 and thinking I was the bees knees (small minded I was) I thought I could surely be a counsellor to those that struggle, I mean if I am still standing then anyone can do it right?!

Well, during two years studying the humanistic approach at college, I kind of found that I am no-where near normal. I learnt how to learn.

I discovered a lot of my feelings, I figured a lot of my thoughts. I learnt to listen and read between the lines. I managed to learn 'tricks' to help me explain and express myself. I passed.

Then I got passed the word 'aspergers'. Hmmm this makes sense as to all the coincidences and how everything in my life is linked. It also explains why I've been a total people pleaser and a walk over.

BUT I have demanded a referral for a diagnosis. And I do hope to get a place at university to study the humanistic (person centred therapy) approach.

:)

I'm impressed, I have GCSE German (B grade) but not used it for 17 years and now know very little. How do you remember all these languages? Do you ever find yourself mixing them up?
I'm a bit rusty on the ones I haven't heard much since school, such as French, which means that I no longer speak them so well, but still have a passive understanding and I can read texts. Yes, I sometimes mix them up :)
