So, it's obvious that a lot of aspie's can have tough days, whether its down to being worn down by social activity, or getting abuse due to any vulnerable qualities AS seems to show.

After a crap day, what's your escape? What do you come home and do to cheer you up? I know for a lot of people it will be internet related - but what specifically? :)

I think having an escape is fairly important and for me, it'd be these forums, msn, facebook and a couple of other sites. :D

Spending time in an onlineworld surely helps, whenever its a neverwinter nights server, some mindless headshotting in counterstrike or massive infosurfing to fill me up with more useless (or usefull) knowledge. Anything that moves your thoughts to another focus helps imo.

And ofcourse, music... gotta have music xD

I suppose my escape from a bad day would be going to my room and either using the computer or playing some games. On the computer I would browse the internet or work on my website while listening to music. I might to a bit of photoshop or watch funny video clips. If i'm not doing that, I would put on my PS3 and play an online game or watch TV. The only time I would actually need to leave my room is to eat.  :D

I've been using these forums as an escape a lot too.

I hear you guys. :)

Css is always good, nothing like blowing people's heads off when your down. :D

It depends how bad a day it has been.
If it's just been a bit crap, I can probably go on forums and stuff. But I'd prefer reading about a special interest.
If it's been a horrible day I don't want to talk to anyone online or off(and some people find this impossible to understand >_>), so I just watch House episodes(my favourite TV show) for a couple of hours. I might not talk to anyone online for a couple of days if it's been really bad.
EMZ=]

Oh, forgot to mention - if I'm really pissed off, playing piano calms me down a lot. :) I just have to have the composure to sit down and not snap the thing in half. :D

I don't know why but I sort of like being pissed off. LOOL.
I think way faster and can verbalise my thoughts easier.
On Minesweeper if I'm pissed off I complete it waaay faster. All my top scores in Minesweeper have been made when I was pissed off xD.
When I'm pissed off I don't do something that will change my mood 'cause I'm too angry about why I'm pissed off to give a crap. :]. LOL.

Lol. I know what you mean... but I'm not great at holding grudges/staying mad and that kind of thing (short-term), so I might aswell calm down and get on with it. :P

TBH, I can't really stay angry for that long. Only around an hour max.
The same with being sad.
It's actually annoying.

Hmmm...well if it's been a really bad day I will find myself unable to anyone for help and people would just make me worse. I'd usually feel so frustrated I'd end up doing something to myself. To prevent myself from doing that I just lie down with everything but the TV off and watch a nice bit of comedy - Peep Show helps the most.

If it's just been the normal amount of bad I just sit down online and do some stuff and listen to music. Miley Cyrus cheers me up to no end. :)

Ah. :P

Fav Miley song?

Aaargh...Um. I think it's between 7 Things and Hoedown Throwdown lol. I don't know why I like them it just makes me smile. I used to turn for a bit of Killswitch Engage but not at all now. Though I forgot, a little bit of Tenacious D will make me smile LOL XD

Lol. KSE are pretty good. I like a few Miley songs, not sure which ones. Willow used to thing them all the time. :D

I'm a big house fan too :)

I LOVE HOUSE :D.
At Summer I just watch all the House series over and over again.
I've probably watched all the episodes 10 times minimum XD.
Did you watch Season 3 Episode 3(or 2 or 4, I forget)? The one with the low functioning autism and then Wilson says House might have AS(but he concludes he doesn't)?

i just play mafia wars

in the middle of a tough situation, i try to force myself into thinking everything about it is hilarious. sometimes, if it's hard, i have to really put loads of effort into shutting my brain down and laughing. but it totally works. for me, it's so much more effective than drawing, writing or listening to music.

one thing i do is come up with a parodying backstory to why these idiots act the way they do, and i make myself believe it until i'm over them :]

That sounds like a good technique, octoopewz. They do say laughing/smiling is good for you...
