Do you agree that Technology is going too far?

There are uneducated hicks amongst us. But, as they say, stupidity is not an excuse
That scene from Galaxy Quest (1999) seemed funny juxtaposed against the previous post.

Its aliens are a popular meme, here.

If we ask AI or even HI about how to deal fairly with other countries and act on it, the need for military hardware could swiftly fade away.

It all depends on who trains the AI. If trained by military or politicians, "fairly" becomes moot. There is a good possibility that there will be no need for military hardware because there will not be enough people left for military hardware, except perhaps locally.

Yes, I am a cynic.

A lot of people I know, I have overheard talking and now this news story, e-bike scooter batteries exploding and causing housefires, such a shame if anyone was to die as a result of one of these housefires or a pet or pets! here is a link to the story
E scooters have been in the news again, warning parents not to buy their kids them due to the dangers, here's the Link

It's got to the point here where we're now banning the import of a lot of e-bikes and scooters that are simply overpowered.

The rule change that could stop 'overpowered' e-bikes being brought into Australia

Now that we've developed Sodium Ion batteries the future of Lithium batteries is very limited here, they'll likely start getting phased out within the next 5 years. We're the world's largest exporter of Lithium and we'll still keep shipping it to other countries but it's too dangerous for us to keep using it ourselves.
