Who else here loves broccoli?

I love making broccoli chicken with sesame oil and Chinese five spice.

Crazy to think at one point in my young naive life I bought into the "ew broccoli" judgment. Now my mouth waters for it...

Ooh me! Raw or stir fried or broiled/seasoned or soups, etc. Just fresh please and not cooked mushy.

I buy it frozen and just heat it up to have with rice or chickpeas with just a bit of salt.

My dog Rocky gets it straight out of the bag for a frozen hot weather treat. He loves it.

Broccoli is something I am alright with. I will eat it, but I am not the type to eat large quantities of it. I take it steamed, seasoned, cooked, or just generally with a dip.

I like it enough, but it’s not something I can eat all the time, and I prefer it with other ingredients.
I prefer cauliflower and cabbage actually.

Interestingly, Broccoli Cauliflower and Cabbage are all exactly the same species of plant, just different cultivars.

I'd heard about Broccoli and Cauliflower, and seen a hybrid Broccoflower. The other close relatives I know of are mustard and Kale.
I only discovered broccoli as an adult - I guess mother didn't like it.

It's not my favorite when eaten raw. Steamed though, I love it without any seasoning at all No salt, no butter, no vinegar, no béchamel or cheese sauce. Just.....plain. Love it.

When I was a kid I'd pretend I was a big dinosaur herbivore and the broccoli flowerets were trees I was eating.

I can only deal with broccoli if it is raw or lightly stir-fried with something I like. Then it is pretty good. Cook it, and it becomes inedible, IMHO. I find that is true of most vegetables.

My mother would boil veggies to death and then get angry I wouldn't eat them. Should have saved herself the effort and served them raw. I loved raw veggies.

I love it. Raw, steamed, lightly cooked, roasted, stir fried… I want broccoli and I want it now!
Seriously though, I’m going to go out and buy some broccoli now.

Broccoli is a bit tricky to cook. You have to cook it just long enough so that it's still firm and bright green. Most people cook it too long and turn it into a sickly green-brown mush that makes the flavor stronger. Most people think if you hated broccoli as a kid but love it as an adult it's because you've "matured" but that's not true at all. It's really just that our taste buds get less sensitive as we get older. I like broccoli, but I am definitely not mature.:tongueout:

I voted Hell Yeah!

I love broccoli steamed or raw with nothing on it. I love the taste of broccoli so much that anything added is a negative.

I had steamed broccoli for breakfast this morning. :)

I guess one could call me old, but I have always loved broccoli. - Always.
