British Actor W. Morgan Sheppard (also known as Morgan Sheppard or William Morgan Sheppard) passed away last night after a last visit from his Son.

He was most widely known for his work in Sci Fi such as Babylon 5, Star Trek, and Animated Cartoons like Gargoyles and even had a Cameo in the first JJ Abrams reboot movie as a Vulcan Minister, along with playing the older Canton Everett Delaware III in the semi-recent Matt Smith era Doctor Who episode "The Impossible Astronaut".

He was also the iconic Narrator of the video game Sid Meier's Civilization V

He is survived by his Son, Mark Sheppard who is also an Actor known for his Role of Crowley on the TV Show Supernatural.

Here is Marks words about his Fathers final moments from his Instagram:

"We went to spend some time with my father today. Though he couldn’t speak, we held hands, he laughed and was so happy to see us. We left and came home. A good day. He was rushed to hospital and passed at 6:30pm, my mother by his side. I am so grateful that he didn’t have to suffer any longer. Thank you for all your kind thoughts, love and prayers."

That's sad - he had a wonderful voice. His voiceovers on the Medal Of Honour series of FPS games really set the tone.

A fine actor. He'll be missed.

I'll always recall his roles in both "Gettysburg" and "Gods and Generals".
