Do you eat breakfast on a regular basis?

Do you often skip breakfast?

Do you consider a cup of black coffee to be a well rounded breakfast?

Always coffee, but I also eat.

Breakfast is one of my three favorite daily meals.

A full 1/3 of all the food in the house is breakfast oriented.

Australia's favourite breakfast - a coffee and a smoke.

Unless I'm working or doing a lot of strenuous activity I only eat one meal a day and that's in the evening. I always sleep better on a full stomach. Even when I'm working I don't feel like eating until I've been up and about for at least 4 hours.

Coffee is necessary! I love the shade grown Costa-Rican beans as well as coffee from Sulawesi - only once did I try Kopi Luwak, very spicy and like a dessert coffee!

For food I have a few favorites that I make:
- English muffins with cream cheese, onion, and smoked salmon.
- Hash browns with sausage crumbles and onion mixed in and topped with cheddar.
- Steel cut Oatmeal with brown sugar and half-and-half.
- Corn and sausage bake with onions and green pepper.
- Sunday is treat day; some local bakery sweets and one slice of bacon. or Cheese Blintzes with home made cherry jam and a slice of bacon.
I used to make hash browns from scratch but now use Idaho Spuds freeze-dried hash browns. A serving does not spike my blood sugar. Neither does sourdough English Muffins or the corn and sausage bake. I can count on corn to act like a whole grain.

My spouse, when she can get up before me makes this, I like:
- Oatmeal Pancakes (finely ground Rolled Oats, Banana, a little flour and oil) with butter and a maple syrup aged in used Bourbon barrels.

l go light, my digestive track is sluggish in the morning. But l make a rotating menu of protein grits, protein pancakes, protein waffles, and an assortment of omelets, easy over eggs, poached eggs, steel cut oats, spam fried rice, protein shakes, avocado toast, and yummy egg /bagel sandwiches, and potato or sweet potato hash for my guy. And occasionally, we have muffins, or croissants, or protein cereal rotating thru. Breakfast is a big deal. Occasionally, l whip up my version of huevos rancheros.

Coffee is for emergencies when sleep must be skipped. I make my own granola, and if is going down slowly, I know I need at least 500 cc of water. I have a friend who often skips breakfast, and now that he is getting old, he often "runs out of gas" when walking.
