Hi,
I've been aware of my limitations and unusual behaviours since childhood, and the discovery that I could be an 'Aspie' was both daunting and vindicating. Whatever was wrong with me, I wasn't alone. Since taking a number of online tests, all of which indicated strong Asperger tendencies, I have spent the last 7 or 8 years of my 47 years coming to terms with that, and finding ways to make this work.

I am a wife and mother of 6, and there are days I want to hide in my bed and melt down but I am needed so I get up, get dressed as best I can, and I find a way to cope. I was terrified to get married, I told my guy that there was something not right with me, and it might not be the best idea to marry me, but thankfully he has supported me and challenged and journeyed with me through the experiment I call my life, both as a clueless wonder and a self-aware Aspie.

It's really nice to meet you all, and I hope to be a contributing member of the group

Myra
