Besides attending the game store two or three times a week, socializing feels nonexistent for me.

I am turning 37 tomorrow. Has anything changed for me? Aside from making more attempts to socialize, I still haven’t achieved most of the things I wish I had.

Do you notice what you just did in this post?

Discounted your own efforts.

"Aside from making...."

Thinking of your life as an all or nothing process makes you discouraged.
Give yourself credit.

@Markness

What does "attend a local game store" mean?

When I think of such sentiments, it reminds me of my past love of spending a great deal of time pleasantly going over things like software in stores like Egghead (which no longer exist) or "brick and mortar" hobby shops that are pretty much extinct.

When I felt totally comfortable talking to strangers about products, whether they were customers or part of the sales staff. I miss such experiences very much.

And going to Fry's Electronics...well....that was like Disneyland for geeks. :p

Funny to think in earlier times, it was making my weekly pilgrimage to Tower Records. :cool:
