Hi, I'm back. I registered a while back and then quickly got bored and went back to Wrong Planet.
A few months ago I finally got fed up with WP and Alex Plank's neglect of it and how some members liked to trample others and how that behavior went on for so long that most core members left leaving a bunch of very young people and the trolls.
I pointed this out and was told basically, hey if you want to insult us then don't let the door hit you on the butt on the way out. I hadn't meant to insult anybody at all, but they all got really angry at me for even suggesting that the middle-school-style atmosphere on WP had driven everybody away. So I purged all of my bookmarks of WP.
Then I found myself getting lonely without having any forums to talk on. I was still on the Aspies Central mailing list, so I started coming here more and more, and finally decided to register, only to be told that my email address was "already in use".
So I logged in with my email address and the old "standard password" that I used to use for everything until Russian and CIA hackers were revealed to be keeping password databases and using username/password laziness to hack into all sorts of systems. And that old login worked!
IIRC I chose the name "oregano" as a reference to Oregon where I thought I'd be living by now, and to the fact that street corner drug dealers sometimes rip people off by selling oregano (an edible herb) in place of marijuana, the latter of which is common in Oregon.
