Astral Projection

I'll send you a pm.

Hey, old chap, is there any chance I might be included here? I've had an interest in Astral Projection since my teens and have read a number of books, including Monroe, though periods of practicing his techniques have ultimately yielded only disappointment.. I've not heard of, or possibly don't remember the 'K' technique though.
I have had several inadvertent out-of-body experiences whilst meditating, but the surprise always shocks me back and awake and unable to recover the mindset I was in. I've also become lucid during dreams and been shocked back at the sight of myself.. I don't consider myself bad looking in general, but from that perspective..
I have often reached a point, usually as I start to fall asleep naturally, where I hear a jangling noise and my body vibrates, described by Monroe I think, I try to become gently aware without waking too much but am never able to proceed further.
This is something I've wanted to achieve and explore for a long time.. I don't give myself a hard time over it, though I do find that information tends to come up, perhaps when I'm ready to try again?

Yes indeed....to seek and maintain that threshold where one plane transcends another. Where one can cross it like a bridge.

Fascinating stuff.

I've heard the name & guessed it had something to do with moving your spirit or something similiar out away from your body to someplace else. And yes, were it possible I could imagine it would be useful.

But I suspect if I had the power I would just waste it on stupid things. Like pranks for one.

I've always thought of astral projection as a means to get to the other side. But only to visit...not to stay. For the purpose of spiritual enlightenment. Something close to a near death experience but without the trauma of a possibility of death and maintaining a whole lot more control.
As a child I would astral travel often. It began by just leaving my body, then traveling around my room, and so on. As my physical consciousness expanded, so did the breadth of my astral projection. As an adult, I later visited new places and recognised them, they were important places for me, as they held space for my differences. I feel privileged to have been able to experience this kind of knowledge, as alas I haven't done so for many years.
