Apart from Sea of Thieves being Xbox exclusive, what's the difference between it and Skull and Bones

They're both Pirate themed games on console.

Sea of Thieves is Xbox One and PC exclusive, and comes out on the 20th of March, Skull and Bones is going on Xbox One and PS4.

Apart from the obvious though, what's the differences between each game? I am aware of Google and YouTube, I use them constantly.

According to footage on YouTube, Skull and Bones is more of a single player game, whereas Sea of Thieves is an MMO.

Well Skull and Bones is a Ubisoft title so you're probably going to be nickelled and dimed for every single upgrade. Because they aren't games any more they're a "service".
