As the title says, are there any song lyrics from any song, by any artist, that stick in your mind and speak deeply to you?
For me it is:
"I went to god just to see, and I was looking at me, saw heaven and hell were lies"
The title of the song is "The Reflecting God", and it is off of the 1996 "Antichrist Superstar" album by Marilyn Manson.
This speaks to me deeply and forms the basis of my life philosophy and motivation, that I am responsible for myself, to myself, to live and enjoy life for myself, and that if I want to achieve something, I have to put in the steps to do it. Not surprisingly that is also a core aspect of Satanism, which 'Manson was heavily influenced by, especially at the time, so that creeping into this music is not surprising. Recently keeping that principle in mind, I have went form being obese, pre-diabetic, to just slightly overweight, and able to run a 5k in under a half hour - improving my health and life for the better.
What about you?
