Any Elementary school teachers here?

I'm currently in college studying to be a teacher. I'm not sure what I want to teach, but I have it narrowed down between special education and kindergarten. I'm not sure which one is best for me. I'm an aspie, but that has never been a problem with me when I'm working with kids. I'm not sure if there is anything that I will have trouble with as a teacher, except my tough to read handwriting. My question is this: do any elementary school teachers on here have some advice for me?
 
Used to be a high school teacher. I know that's different, but from a personal experience I can say that I had a problem with keeping track of all the kids at the same time. Who is misbehaving, what are all their names etc. Also enforcing discipline, however I was 21 at the time, maybe these days I'd be more harsh. I had the best time when I was able to help kids with projects or explain things to them. So personally I'd go for kindergarten, it's almost always fun and kids aren't really old enough to give much trouble. Decision based on personal preferences though.
