Edison Mall, Fort Myers, Florida. Opened in the mid-1960s, this indoor mall has been expanded three times. It contains over 130 businesses - all on one floor. (A few of the anchor stores are two stories tall.) The name was given for inventor Thomas Edison, who had a second home in the town.

That reminds me of a stretch of road my Mama and I would drive on when we would head to Grandma's house when I was little. When we got to the stretch where the trees arched over the road we would say "wheeeeeeeeee!" as we went through the tree tunnel. That has always been a good memory.

A pretty little Eastern Sierra sagebrush town on the south shore of Mono Lake.

Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois. Opened in 2004 at a hugely-overrun cost of $475 million, this 24.5-acre space is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the US. Features include art galleries, bridges, a theater and an ice skating rink. Built atop parking garages and train lines, it is only a small section at the northwestern corner of Grant Park.

Oklahoma City National Memorial, honoring those affected by the 1995 bombing, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Seen is the Field of Empty Chairs, the Reflecting Pool and the eastern Gate of Peace. The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was not rebuilt, leaving the entire site to serve as a memorial. Saturday will be the 30th anniversary of this tragedy.
