5G - What Do You Think?

The funny thing is, 5G has real problems that virtually nobody is talking about. When you get into mmwave frequencies, such as the 25 Ghz+ area that 5G operates in, the signals travel a far shorter distance, and have less ability to penetrate things like the steel and glass used for skyscrapers. That means a greater number of nodes will be needed to provide effective 5G coverage. Of course, the law of diminishing returns eventually kicks in. In the end, only wealthy urbanites get reliable 5G, and the suburban and rural poor get left out. The social consequences should be obvious.

But no, people are ranting about cancer and autism. I wonder if these people who think autism is so awful have ever gotten to know one of us?
 
I'm glad that the article mentioned that the worries were "speculative" and that there was no scientific basis for them in the same sentence. The reporter(s) did a good job on that.
 
Another step in the long repeating pattern of ignorant people being scared of new technologies based on no evidence at all.

GMO, radio waves, vaccines, wifi, now 5G, they'll find something new to be scared of soon enough. It's unfortunate that occasionally the paranoia of a minority of individuals has negative impacts on the wider population (e.g. vaccines, GMOs) but I doubt that'll happen with this.

This is an issue, though at the moment as far as I am aware the high frequency bands are not in use. What we call 5G at the moment is still using the 2.4gHz frequencies, using an enhanced hardware/software stack/data networking tech compared to 4G.

Big Clive from TouTube had a good video recently where he dives into 5G, worth a watch.
 
Tesla said that all we need to understand the universe is energy frequency and vibration.
Call me a tinfoil hat wearer but I think that modern technology is dangerous and unnatural. Tesla based his work on nature, natural sound waves, electromagnetic frequencies. Today we are using un natural frequencies. I am skeptical about 5g causing autism, as I was sceptical about vaccines causing autism. Autism is with us at birth.
Thousands of ancient trees had to be cut down in Sheffield to accommodate 5g. It hasn't been researched enough. In the second world war, Goebbles I think changed the musical frequency from 132hz to 140 to dull down people's intuition etc. The ancients knew all about technology before us, shamanic drum beats match the more relaxing brainwaves that the supposed experts have more recently discovered in labs. We need to get back to nature and to the earth.
I'm not trying to force my views on anyone, I may even be wrong, but at the end of the day, time will reveal all.

I like the conspiracy theory that Covid-19 is caused by 5G towers sucking the air out of people's lungs.

However, I think it's possible 5G is harmful to some people in a way similar to how pollen is harmless but affects people who are allergic to it.
 
I have no issues with 5g, and if I’m honest, really struggle with those who buy into those conspiracy theories, it makes me think....little of the person which is perhaps my issue.

good point here though about the limitations, I think it will be in cities etc but where I am will be 4g for a long time to come - we only got 4g 4 years ago lol! So I’m in no rush to buy a 5g phone, thankfully 4g does everything I need at an acceptable speed.

Our local park has got more and more baldy the time I have lived here.
