Do you know somebody who's doing that?

    Myself confused the two.

That happens to people who smoke marijuana, really often. They think they're having a profound conversation or knowing *the meaning of everything* and later it appears it really wasn't that at all.
I unintentionally hurt a friend. I need to break away for a while.

If you can apologize then "a while" may not be as long as you think. Tough skill for us to learn as a lot of times we dont know if the other person accepts the apologies.
Even though I was born in the US, I feel more like I am English.

I wonder if this is common for Aspies. I look at England as the home of my culture.

That would be interesting to find out. I am primarily of Anglo descent with some Cherokee in my bloodline.

That's cool (and a good conversation starter.)
My family has a British last name & held English social habits until the 1970s...pretty sure there is a strong Anglo influence. Also, I look very English/old-school American.
I am glad I didn’t get rid of my Gen13 issues. I need to re-read them as well as get the rest of the original run.
Besides maybe the male staff worker and one other customer, I am the only guy at the barcade who doesn’t have a girlfriend at his side.

    No gay couples, eh?
    Markness

I rarely see gay couples. They still get bullied by rednecks, gangsta rap thugs, and fundies.
I forgot that a spin-off of the Bit Bar was being built in the city I live in. I just found out today it’s finally open.

Well, it was quiet at first but more people have come in. Unfortunately, all the women are with their boyfriends. :( This is really disappointing for me.

Sounds like it's a place guys take dates to, but girls don't feel motivated to frequent on their own...

Which is unfortunate because I know there are girl gamers. Apparently they get flack from both men and women.
Friend wants me to join his nerf blaster game with his friends.

An "alcohol cannon" lobbed a tennis ball half a block away and the concussion rattled the windows--all it was, was soup cans & a condensed-milk can for the carburetor. Aerial shells landed in the neighbors' barbecues. An experiment utilizing the non-compressing properties of water ended up being the time my brother & I broke the sound barrier.
The shockwave was on video & it was awesome.

We even practiced special effects cinematography & blew up a scale-model building for an incompleted amateur film--looked very realistic on screen.
Nerf wars would've been great but we never had many friends. Maybe because my brother & I were loners; or maybe because our backyard was sending up explosions, clouds of smoke, lawnmower noises, and the occasional live chicken.

The game was at a park and was very hot. Glad I had plenty of hydration. The people were friendly but I had a hard time joining in on the conversations because I don’t keep up with FPS games as well as gaming politics all that much.
Why is it that when I see others greet people, they get good responses but when I do it, I get bad ones?
    Markness

I see it happen with others all the time. I suppose most people in my area are just super extroverted.

These other people that you see getting the phone details and arranging meet ups....how well do you know them? Unless you are acquainted with them, how do you know that they were just meeting somebody for the first time?
    Markness

I know some of them well and others I don’t. The latter just seem to click easily. I saw this a lot at college but when I attempted to socialize, the other person appeared uninterested or even aggravated I was there.
My mother said I’ll never be self-sufficient but claims she only said “fully self-sufficient”.

Nice save, on her part. Since nobody is ever "fully self-sufficient."

Not sure if she's consciously gaslighting you or if she really didn't mean never self-sufficient.
Sorry but telling me you want a cup of my tears isn’t going to make me support your cause, especially if you aren’t going to be my friend.

That's *poetic*....I guess. 'cup of tears'.....Can't imagine how that's supposed to work.

I thought it was going to be yesterday but it turns out nothing was truly scheduled so now I have to wait until Thursday of next week.
