    My life group is practically all couples with a new couple just joining but the life group won't be meeting for weeks due to the leaders being busy but most of the time it is cancelled anyway. Should I be glad as I hate being around all couples anyway?

    Just was watching a video about the new macos and this ugly guy went on and on about his wife. He is ugly and married and I am single.

    @tree: I understand what is going on because I come so close to such bitterness and could have been there. My resentment towards couples, especially with those guys who made me feel "less than" by relating their sexual escapades, had me thinking about lethal violence. That thoroughly sickened me and convinced me to change.

    It would behove you to look at it from other people's perspectives. What is going to motivate them to initiate a conversation with you? Especially if you're saying nothing and they have no idea what you'd even want to talk about.

    I get that autism can make it difficult to make conversation and establish social connections, but it's unreasonable to expect others to do all the heavy lifting socially. The nature of social interactions is reciprocity, and if one is unwilling to initiate social interactions, one ought not be surprised when others don't initiate social interactions with them.
