  • I’ve never lived in a house where I could see the stars from my bedroom window before. Now I can… I can also see the harbor and the lights from the next town over in the distance. I think I have found my forever home.

Nice! The other night I looked out from the porch and Orion, with its nebula, was brilliant. In another month the frogs will be waking up and the racket from the nearby pond will commense. Next to the pond the sound approaches 90dB. I love hearing them. At the Frankfort harbor (6 miles away) there is a lighthouse and when atmospheric conditions are right, I can see the light sweeping overhead from the bedroom.

A bedroom skylight? How cool!

@Judge It’s actually not a skylight, the windows are just super tall! But I’ll try to get some pictures of the stars if I can! Just depends if my camera can avoid focusing on the window screen…
I finally have my own separate room for dog supplies!!!

It even has a bathtub… it was supposed to be a bathroom but I did a bit of a redesign

And you can maybe wash dogs in the bath tub! I see what looks like a large dog blowdryer and some big towels
All moved into my new house, and wifi is back! :) I will try to get around to answering some messages in the next few days...
Aside from the foot injury, how is the house? Are you excited to be moved?

It's great, thanks for asking! I'm all unpacked now, I just need to get rid of a bunch of boxes and set up a shelf for my shoes. But other than that, everything's done! I love it here and I'm super excited. I never pictured myself living in a place this nice...

How are you doing today, Mr. Stevens?

I'm doing well, thanks :) Just enjoying a quiet evening with a book.
Of course, first night in the new house, I break a wine glass, step on a piece of glass, get it stuck in my foot, bleed all over the kitchen floor, and do “surgery” on my foot to get the glass out. No one was answering the phone and I didn’t want to call 911. I’m fine, I was able to stop the bleeding without stitches, but I’m going to the doctor in a few hours. Just my luck…
The dining room is done… but I’m not entirely sure yet how I feel about all the open space, and the minimalist Scandinavian furniture. Hope it will grow on me. I’m not used to having a big house.

Minimalist Scandinavian furniture? That makes me all warm and fuzzy...lol. Most of my modest little apartment is furnished as such.

This is the latest trend here in Scandinavia, very minimalistic ;):D The big thing now is to have an echo in your livingroom. The next step is no room at all, just a void. :)

    Man, I would love that.
My hips and my back are so sore from being on my feet all day. The rest of the unpacking is going to have to wait.

Take care, and try not to overdo it. Easy to do under the circumstances...where you want to get so much done in so little time.

You are home now! You have time to settle in slowly. Rest now, warrior.
This box got turned upside down and opened on the wrong end somehow lol
And yeah, my handwriting is on the same level as a kindergartener.

    Insulting children...tsk, tsk...

My handwriting sucks too. But, I made it better my imitating comic book lettering, which is all caps. Also, the texture and pressure between the type of pen and paper make a huge difference.

the manager for the customer service department I work in at a grocery store really loves using the comic sans font for some reason.. there’s a time and a place for everything. I’d take Luca’s handwriting over the comic sans to be honest
