hurting myself when having a meltdown

unfortunately, she isn't helpful at all:-( She get's scared and hides in a corner.... Nah, that's not gonna work. Also, I do exercise but in the evening. Disrupting my schedule will do the opposite and make everything worse.....

hurting myself when having a meltdown

Thank you for your answer. yes, I guess I am:) It's not one particular thing.... I think generally speaking it's when it just "becomes too much" for me and sometimes it really isn't that bad if I look at it after the fact. For example today the straw that broke the camel's back was when it...

hurting myself when having a meltdown

Hi everyone I have a question. I don't usually talk about it but lately I feel like it's getting worse. I've only known for about 2 years that have Asperger's. I have always had moments when I couldn't really control myself anymore and would break things, punch doors or walls or myself (never...

can't tell if people like me

Hey everybody I hope you are all well. I have a somewhat weird question (I think. maybe it's not weird). I have always had this problem that I just cannot tell if people like me. Like when I meet someone new (in both, new friendship or dating). I just cannot tell if they like me. I have no...

    36yr old and possible HFA

Some things can of course get better through the learning of more adaptive behaviors.... Anyways, I have looked up PDD-NOS. That might be worth looking into. It is considered an ASD nowadays. Personally Think it should still be a separate diagnosis (the same goes for Asperger's in my opinion)...

    36yr old and possible HFA

Hi, i totally understand the fear of being paranoid:-) Anyways, have you looked into other disorders? I mean I don't know as much about those as i do about ASD but maybe it's worth looking into PDD-NOS or social communication disorder, etc. (the first has been integrated into ASD in the DSM-5...

    36yr old and possible HFA

Welcome, I'm pretty new here too:) I hope you will find some answers. However, have you done the AQ and/or Aspie quiz? Diagnostically speaking not many of the things you listed actually point towards HFA... But of course everybody on the spectrum is different...Maybe filling out some...

    Hello

I hope eventually it will make things better, but these last couple of days I was more in the "I'm doomed" kind of mood and it feels like I get stressed even easier. yeah a partner doesn't always 9I actually think never) really replace a close girl girlfriend. But at least you manage to have a...

    Hello

That's probably true... Looks like I need an Aspie guy too:-) Maybe he wouldn't label me "crazy" within 2 weeks of dating...:flushed: But yeah, some friends who understand would be plenty for now...

    Hello

That is a very good point I haven't thought of.... yeah, for me it also put things into perspective... I think most importantly, that it's not all my fault. It's a mystery for me too... I wish I were that optimistic.:flushed: I always thought it will change, but now I'm in my thirties and it...

    depressed without special interests?

I think I always have one... It would be weird not to have some obsession I can annoy other people with:-) (I actually try very hard not to) but it's so hard not to talk about what's so interesting. I usually don't get why other people are not passionate about what I am passionate about...

    Hello

I meant that I wasn't suicidal or on the verge of dying... In that sense worse. I actually got out of it by myself about 1.5 years later. It's all 20 years ago though and at this point I could actually lose 10 pounds:-) (As in I've been trying but with very little and short-lived success) So...
