Tinnitus won't let me sleep. It's been super bad 24/7 this week. Then I can't sleep..then it gets worse. It's an awful cycle.

I'm not trying to drown the sound out. It's a high pitched thing, for years, unceasing. The tv music just gives a little something else to think about. Rather than that high pitch....which is not at all pleasant or fun to consider.

Tree is kinda right, she often is. It's hard to get used to other noises sometimes. A ticking clock, an electric fan, the bathroom exhaust fan, soft music in another room, the spooky sound of a barely cracked open window

They are a distraction from the internal noise. It doesnt work always or for everyone. Does anyone still use wind up clocks? Tick tock tick tock, it's very soothing. I used to have several in my quarters

It's fall, but it was really hot today. But it won't be long before everyone complains about it being too cold. People love to complain.

Who is 'everyone'? And what would be their motivation for lying?

Yeah, I guess I have issues with time keeping and the like, or maybe it’s just ongoing guilt over wasting so much of my teenage and adult life in the past. Either way, I have indeed finished my draft, I’ll be proof-reading and uploading it later this afternoon.

Ha, I have a friend like that. Had her house decorated in fall leaves on the 1st of Sept when it was still 100F. I'm more excited about hiking weather, football, Navratri and Halloween :)

I've gotten some migraine headaches this week from noise sensitivity. I'm not necessarily sure why but things sound louder than typical.

Try Triptan medication. In UK you can order it without a prescription. I've recommended it to 4 people and each of them (myself included) found they nullify a migraine very quickly.

@Raggamuffin I take Rizatriptan sometimes, but only when they're active and they don't instantly make my migraines go away. Some I've had last for months and if they get too bad I have to go to the ER for meds. Thanks though.
