Enjoying shelving books at my local library, since it's off-season for farming so I haven't been able to work as much at my regular job. Very friendly coworkers, calm environment, and a task that keeps me busy for hours.
It is absolutely, positively, antique bicycle season, and I am so here for this.
My embarrassing/facepalm moment for today: I thought Tame Impala was from the 80s. Lol

I remember Ted Johnson's 63 cherry red Impala, but it wasn't tame. Nor did he drive it in a tame manner. Probably why I don't freak out as a passenger in any car no matter how badly one drives it. :p

@tree It's a band. Apparently established in 2007. I don't know why I thought they were from the 80s lol
Still keep getting distracted by freaking Youtube so easily. Where did the last 3 hours go? I think I need to get a lot more strict with my own internet use overall, not just Youtube. Seems one leads to the other pretty easily.

@Tired Yeah, my feed is pretty much the stuff you mentioned there, with some added chess content. Gameplay videos being what I watch most. But I'll check something out, and then "oh hey that looks interesting" and then again, and again... often with "oh it's just 3 minutes, I can check out just one more" happening.

And then of course from there it just repeats until a bunch of time is lost. Usually I'm not aware of how much time is going by until after I snap out of it.

oh i see, but if you enjoy the videos you are watching, i wouldnt see it as a lost time. you gained some knowledge and maybe had fun :)
Won our last regular season game tonight 6-2. We have essentially been undefeated since December. To the playoffs we go!

Of course, this is rec league, so it's not like it's a huge deal :P
To me it is, though.

Thank you! Hoping there's a lot more where that came from.
I might commit myself just to get away from my damn parents

A tough commitment for you, but a potentially good one at that. To seek both financial and emotional independence if possible.

I have been upset with your parents, l am glad you are able to see clearly that treating you less than doesn't help you. But please realize that they are of a different time-frame, and they think differently, try to be patient please. You need to slowly start talking to them to show you are being more independent. They think they are protecting you, but you have taken responsibility for yourself.
Potatoes will arrive today. I have to dig my book on preserving veggies without using modern methods out and see what I have to do so they last til planting time in mid March. I already have a cooler to put them in.

I think I'll put them alongside the acorn bucket. That would be a good place.

They're sensitive to change in temperature, if they've been cold and then get warmer they think it's spring and time to start growing.

I understand it's just female friends in the past or so-called what they did to me the last two in the last two years especially hurt me so bad they never hung out with me the last one from last year was so bad she blocked me never hung out with me that hurt me so bad it gave me major rejection

This one is different she saw me at my worst literally and she's still there for me actually hang out me four times already

It's just she's so attractive the other two were too which makes me feel like an imposter because the other one two were attractive and they didn't want nothing to do with me
I always crack up at those videos that are like “my husband takes hideous photos of me” (with examples), and meanwhile mine takes ones like this... and then makes them the wallpaper on his phone

The picture of you with the fries is such a good photo of you! I wanted to do a heart react, but for some reason the forum is having trouble bringing up the emoticons panel and I can only click 'like' at times like this.

I wish the weather would make up its mind.

It made up its mind here, for like 4 months now it's cold, mostly rainy and very dark.

The state I live in is home to rollercoaster weather. It's been jumping between 40°F nights and nearly 70°F days, then there is 10°F nights with 20-30°F days. I mean. I know it's still winter. But common already. Is going to be cold or mild?
A question we get asked often about our house/where we live: "Do you get scared at night?"
...Yes 😅

Wolves, coyotes and foxes. I love hearing them late at night. "Children of the night". ;)

We saw a coywolf the other day (coyote/wolf hybrid) that looked like this. 100 feet away from us sitting on our pond. Gorgeous animal but we were cautious and didn't interact. Thought it was a gray wolf!

^This photo is from Google, if we weren't so worried about a potential interaction with our very frightened dog, I would've taken a photo.
Over 30 inches of snow here, 3 feet in some places. 400+ cars stranded on highways. I hope everyone gets home safe :(
This weather is unbelievable. The last time it was this bad here, I was 21 years old, in college, stranded in my dorm room for a week surviving on instant coffee and microwave mac & cheese.
New England weather is no joke.

I can't wait for spring either. This is the winter from hell. Now I'm regretting complaining about the 90 degree summers...

Pretty scary weather from seeing New England on the news...stay warm! And don't let the geese bite! ;)

We thought we were out of the woods until we just saw in the weather report tonight- 85% chance of snow tomorrow.
The geese are happy, at least!
Yikes.
Shoveled out our entire driveway, front walk, and most of the yard, though. At least now the dog can get out.
Rest of the property will have to be done with the snow blower.

Yeah. Shoveling snow is a rough one when you got alot. Glad that has come and gone for me.

Hopefully you live somewhere with less snow now. This winter has been such a nightmare. Getting a snow blower has helped us a little bit, though.
Insane snowstorm here… again. Opened the front door to let the dog out and a 4 foot snow drift almost fell in. Looks like we’re stuck here until the roads get plowed, which could be days from now.
