‎Tigris River and me, we both don't like a certain ex-common friend but we can't seem to find the perfect partner for our dreams. We both want to form the community for Aspies in Singapore. We tried different models, but I hung in the towel first. After all, AC is so much more effective than any forum I ever know.

Tigris is doing well, he's doing his best to revive his group. For me, though, I gave up my long-cherished dreams of forming a support group to supplement other supportive structures in my country (like Singaporeans' kind heart to readily help others in need, e.g. patience to wait in the bus for the passenger in wheelchair to board a bus) and current official efforts. Seriously, my dream before and now is to speak to a Princeton audience about the population patterns in our cities, and how politics can manage the needs of cities... After all, isn't this what I did in HS? Not to advocate, improve or seek companionship with other Aspies.

I feel that my common interests with others bring people closer, not my visions. My interest in spatial patterns spurred my interests of buses as well as my relationship with friend 1, my personal connection with creative Dashie and hardworking AJ brought me closer to friend 2, imageries of Dublin bring me to friend 3 and, well, basketball is what brings me and Friend 4 together :)

However, I still appreciate what AC did for me.

We have Teacher Soup to bring nourishing soups that heal the soul, and nourish our body of knowledge and wisdom. I also quite enjoy Nolan's and wyv's music, too. Also, I feel really great sharing our life experiences and thoughts with Spinning Compass on blogs, Deno on his wonderful science group, and musically and artistically inclined King_Oni on the threads.

We have talented RubenX, who bangs and bikes - and shares his passions enthusiastically. We have my unofficial career mentor - Loomis, an ex-accountant and PhD candidate (I think), to guide me along through him sharing his experiences.

We also have always-ready-to-listen Arashi to bring sparkles of magic into her dolls and recipes, and other people's lives. The other Megan had also been a great source of inspiration for my college studies, despite being a freshman currently. We have friendly Kas, Aillas and ICM, willing to hold virtual online beer parties.

If I left out any user here, holler at me :) I'm sure we'll have a great chat somewhere.

They delivered more than what they seem to promise to me. Thank you, Alex Ong.
