Driving is one of my favorite things to do not the actual act of it but sitting in the back of the car well campervan in this case, the New Zealand country side is so amazing even though we are in a serious drought the country is a little windy (like corners not the wind) but around every turn there is something new to look at some more cows grazing or goats on the roadside and that’s what I love about the NZ countryside and as we were driving once I got over the anxiety of going away from home I just felt at peace with my world and so grateful for the life I was given. There’s something about a kiwi road trip hanging out in the back with my dawky sister who finds my silence uncomfortable singing to songs we “hate” but would hate more to go traveling without, just driving we had such a great time and I was reminded why I love her so much and love being with her. We stopped for fish’n’chips for tea down at a beach just past where we are staying tonight went for a wonder and wrote our names in the sand we found this campsite and parked up the people here are super friendly and just talked to us a little we went off on an adventure then walked back to the camper down the beach. This beach is so beautiful we’re on the east coast so black sand but it was blue and so amazing, now I didn’t take my shoes off that’s sensory hell, wondered down the beach singing to myself drowned out by the waves for everyone else and just being me there’s something about the beach that is so calming.

Sitting on my bed watching the kids run around outside not in bed has reminded me its new years something I’ve never celebrated and have no intention of ever doing so but tomorrow I will wake up and it will be 2018 no longer 2017 its kinda weird how some person just decided that a year would exist and it would be 365 days long and that’s just what we have all accepted weird. Well happy new years I guess.

Hopefully I’ll get wifi and be able to post this tomorrow hopefully I will actually post this and not doubt myself and hopefully I will continue to be able to find peace in what scares me most and enjoy this experience
