I have bought every piece of clothes I really, really love, in physical stores. I'll wear them, like, forever and ever so long as they're awesome.
But things will change, I'll explore buying from online stores in near future.
I can't buy from Singaporean stores anymore. I always go to the swankiest malls, and now, after so many years, I just grew disappointed.
Increasingly, I can't buy nice T-shirts with great designs. Recently, Singaporeans like to wear shirts with a snug fit, which I find quite uncomfortable. The regular sized fitted shirt or baggy T-shirts, they're old-fashioned. Even if I do find some great designs, they almost always come too small, I wear S but I like my shirts to be a little larger. And well, hmm, it's best if they have heavier cotton on the shirts. I can't find them in Singapore, even in Big Men's stores.
Why I hadn't bought online? Well, I have this paranoid fear... of buying things online.
First of all, I hate buying online. If I buy from physical stores, I am sure the clothes I buy come from either Thailand or Indonesia. They are reasonably near to Singapore. I do my best to reduce carbon footprint. If I buy online, most of the stuff I will buy are imported from further places, such as China, Korea or even Honduras. I was advised by friends who volunteer in environmental causes 'oh, you buy in bulk!' That's what I tried to do!
I have a really deep passionate interest in sharing my interests, particularly sports and economics. Well, I'm already in my school's economics club, so no question about that. I just like sports - some sports stores in Singapore and the shops that sell New Era fitted hats to ask me, what do these hats' logos represent? I can answer almost them all.
Unfortunately, my parents just see my interests in NFL, NBA etc as a waste of time. I don't want to argue with them about this, so.
I'll expect to buy only work clothes next time if I do buy from face to face retailers.
If I do really buy from face=to-face retailers, I'd probably buy non-work wear, maybe three pairs of Dickies shorts (green, red and another unspecified color, e.g. purple or white), but that's about it. I have enough. My last pair of sneakers (Air Force Ones are already ultimately cool, while I love the look of Jordans, I find Jordans too stiff and uncomfortable even with their price tags), and those basketball shorts, I can't seem to find the perfect pair of basketball shorts to my liking these days. I'm really picky with clothes. So I decided to just stick to buying Dickies shorts and a pair of Brazil basketball shorts. That's all.
