Burn And Reborn

Burn And Reborn
Like the leaf that fell from the tree,
Like the raindrop that fell from the sky,
Like the river that descended until the sea,
Not waking up, it fell from its dream.

It became that leaf that withered,
That raindrop that’s dried by wind,
That river that merges with infinite tide,
That no one, that nothing.

The flower in its heart stopped breathing,
The vast grassland that surrounded it,
Turned into a dark spiral,
Suffocating, killing it.

Murdered, claimed for revenge,
For it and its body in decay.
Its darkness, grudge, malice,
Only living to take its life away.

And is that when those two souls gathered,
The fire which emanated from them scorched.
But it burnt so high,
That ashes wind sighed.

Now neither water would put these flames out,
Not ashes would return to be souls.
Now only sorrow remains,
Which the crackling shakes.

Flares yelled,
Like jaws were,
Trying to swallow,
Who suffer let them.

Maybe revenge would calm them down,
Maybe when pain would sleep at last.
Maybe time would pacify that longing to avenge,
Maybe when frustration the why would understand.

Meanwhile, leyend tells those flames are still burning.
Both its love and pain were too deep.
No doubt, they stayed like one,
As a gift from heaven,
Or as an ever-lasting punishment.

Arder y Renacer

Esa oscuridad, rencor, maldad,

This is my first poem in a long while so I hope it conveys a feeling of love and hate we sometimes experience in toxic relationships. Remember that you can support me through my Ko-fi link.

Thank you for reading.
