YouTube annoying videos get millions of views.

I also notice that the videos that I watch with little viewership that's extremely difficult to find. I must exclude "-boy -boys -man -men -brother -boyfriend -husband -dad -daddy -crossdresser -crossdressing -transgender -barbie", names etc. and before:2020 to find them. When I go into the main page recommendations none of those related videos show up but if I search for something easy like The Simpsons, Family Matter's etc. I only must watch one or two videos and then on the homepage there are many Simpsons recommendations.

There was this one guy a few years ago who did some of the best Youtube Poops I've ever seen. Instead of relying on annoying editing tricks, he took King of the Hill clips and remixed them into a new storyline (one I remember him doing was taking clips and making a storyline reminiscent of Breaking Bad). Of course, those videos have been purged now because of use of copyrighted content, but transformative art is something that fascinates me.

One thing I will never really understand about those lowest denominator, super popular videos are the random arrows pointing at nothing on the thumbnails.

It's clear they work to get people to click on but like... why?

I would understand if it was sex appeal or something shocking but just random arrows? people are truly strange.
