Former mobster James "Whitey" Bulger aged 89, has been murdered in a West Virginia federal prison. Wheelchair bound, and beaten so badly that he was bleeding from the ears. Bulger had been transferred to the prison only a day before.

Bulger was an informant for the FBI, instrumental in getting rid of rivals in the New England Mafia. What goes around, comes around.

More likely he slipped on a banana peel. It happens. Even in a maximum security prison like that.

Normally I'd say he got "whacked". But under the circumstances it looks more like he was "BOP'd".
