hello my name is Geremy never really been on a forum before so here goes nothing I'm 24 years old I have Apergers syndrome I try not to let it affect me but it does anyway.I deal with the depression and also I not what you call "having lots of friends" I love to be social but I never get to be because I am an open book apparently and no one likes that because its "weird" so i am currently looking for more open books. Any way my mother was telling me about this and i was hoping to converse on here and meet my goal of getting more open books as friends or at least getting some questions answered about the disease! Any way have a nice day!

Hi Geremy, welcome to AC.

I suspect you'll find a lot in common with many of us here, apart from how diverse we also can be all across the spectrum of autism.

We're all different in one way or another from NTs, but that doesn't translate into being deficient either.

Welcome to the AC world :)

The autistic spectrum does not have a set pattern of rules,so find what you need,or ask the friendly people here for opinions about what to try or do to cope with it

Welcome to AC, my friend. :) To quote the Cheshire Cat, "we're all a little mad here", so relax and be yourself - you're in good company here. :)

so what is NT stand for

so does anyone know any hot spots of Aspergers meetings or anything like that I mean I don't mind talking on here but then again I do you like to face to face thing and if you don't know any local near me Or do you know anywhere where I can find online because I'm looking forpeople with the same not just a generalization, people with Aspergers only because it's kind of difficult to explain them to somebody with something differEnt . it's better just with the same thing so we can all help each other not that I have anything against it its just easier to me to Not have to just explain something I don't fully understand myself.

so we don't consider ourselves normal on this site do we cuz if we don't I totally want to be known as epicly random

Most of the NT world will not understand autism as they have their own way of communicating

Dig a bit thru the archives here and form your own opinion after reading a bit about support groups and "professionals".

We are to help and advise, but there are many opinions as to what works best,so you will find that possibly just trying suggestions to see what fits you best as a good approach to your downfalls

I hope that I have helped you a little ;)

I don't know what country you're in, but here in the US I actually found such a group on Meetup.com. I have yet to be able to make it to any of the events, unfortunately. Welcome!
