What was the last TV show you watched?

I heard a really bad joke that you have to have watched the movie to get. "How does a Reaver clean his harpoon? He puts it through the Wash". Sad drum roll.

Weird to think that Wash was one of actor Alan Tudyk's more sane roles. :p

I have enjoyed all three Fillion vehicles. Castle stands well enough on its own.

Did you know that the behind-the-scenes conflict on Castle became so intense that the two leads had to engage in couples' counseling...!?

LOL...move over method-actors. Now there's method-direction. ;)

Oh speaking of Tudyk roles, have you seen Resident Alien? He's the lead in that, plays an alien that has crash landed in a remote community and assumes the identity of their local town doctor. There were 4 seasons of the show, I'm only into season 2 but it is absolutely hilarious. And there is part of the way they show his experience in interacting with and learning about Humans that reminds me of the autistic struggle.

LOL...that role in particular was precisely what I was getting at. GMTA ;)

Though I recently saw Tudyk briefly portraying an overt racist relative to interacial baseball. He was convincing, yet truly repulsive. A great, but probably underrated actor IMO.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Episode One (2025) Paramount+

And so the saga continues... :)

I'm currently watching an episode of Star Trek the next generation called Starship Mine. I saw a human crew member older than Picard maybe 70s or 80s and that got me wondering when human crew would retire. I saw this information 'Active Service Lifespan: Human officers often serve well past 75. For example, Admiral Leonard McCoy was active at age 137 in the first TNG episode "Encounter at Farpoint". Jean-Luc Picard was still in command at 74 and would have been 80 by the time of the Romulan supernova. McCoy being alive at 137 sounds very unlikely!
Also interestingly Tuvok who is usually in voyager is a baddie in this episode

Episode 2, Season 1 of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms". (HBO/Max)

Another GOT spinoff, set 100 years earlier. So far, in comparison with "Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon" this one lacks the seriousness and malevolence of the two prior series. More like a "dramedy" if anything.

I'll continue to watch it to see if it evolves, or if this what you see is what you get. Medieval brutality and graphic displays of all kinds, interspersed with humorous situations.

Just not like anything from Seth McFarlane ("The Orville"). So far a big "meh" for me.

"The Assassin" (2025) AMC+

Trust fund brat discovers his money was inherited through the work of his mother. Not as an employment "head hunter", but something more literal than that. A paid assassin.

Meh...seems rather disjointed in attempting to explain it all. Not sure if Freddie Highmore makes for the proper fit as the son of his mother who is or was a retired assassin living quietly in Greece until all hell breaks loose.
